Dynamo has posted a cryptic tweet following the online furore yesterday, when photos appearing to show the illusionist suspended from wires during a stunt at the top of The Shard in London began circulating online. The Bradford-born star, who was filming a segment for his final series of ‘Dynamo: Magician Impossible’, suggested that ‘all is not what it seems’ following the widespread speculation over the levitation trick.Onlookers claimed yesterday gathering at London Bridge that they could see cables holding Dynamo in place, with pictures showing faint grey lines between the to points of Europe’s tallest building.

Despite having no information about the nature of the trick, many accused the star, real name Steven Frayne, of cheating.

“Loving the speculation about yesterday’s Shard levitation – although things aren’t always as they seem. All will be revealed,” he wrote.

He also teased fans with the hashtags ‘#wires’ and ‘#sept4th’, which is the the final series airs on the Watch channel.

The stunt, at the tip of the 1004ft skyscraper, was organised on conjunction with the children’s charity Variety.

Speaking about it, he said: “I’ve been working with Variety, the children’s charity, and I invited some of the children they support to meet me at The View from The Shard as it is one of the best places to see London.

“After I finished meeting them, I decided to explore a bit further.”

He later tweeted a picture from the top, saying: “The view is great from here #lookup.” [Daily Mirror]

‘Great British Bake Off’ contestant Iain Watters has hinted that he could potentially return to the show. In an interview with Newsnight following yesterday’s ‘Bingate’ incident, in which he threw his failed Baked Alaska in the bin on the cooking show, he said: “The Justice for Iain campaign has been really nice. You will just have to watch next week to see if I get back.” [BBC]

Meanwhile, Diana Beard, who has quit the show after a fall left her without a sense of taste or smell, has said that the BBC should be ‘ashamed’ with the editing of the last episode, which appeared to suggest she sabotaged Iain’s dessert by taking it out of a freezer. “It’s a form of fakery and trickery,” she said. “They deliberately misled viewers and exploited me for the sake of entertainment. The BBC should be ashamed.” [Daily Mail]

The word ‘Orgasmed’ has amazingly appeared on ‘Countdown’ two days running. Remarkably, it’s the third time that the word has appeared, having also shown up in November last year. [Daily Mirror]
