Forty-one dead bodies of Bangladeshi pilgrims have so far been found as they lost their lives in the Mina incident on September 24, according to the updated report received from Bangladesh Consulate General, Jeddah.
Of the 41 victims, the identities of 18 pilgrims have been confirmed while the names of 12 found and the remaining 11 are unnamed, said the Foreign Ministry here on Thursday.
Officials at the Bangladesh Consulate General in Jeddah along with the officials of Bangladesh Hajj Mission in Makkah are working to identify the dead bodies of the deceased pilgrims.
Relatives accompanying pilgrims and hajj agents of the missing pilgrims have been requested to contact Bangladesh Hajj Mission in Makkah (room No 107, phone- 00966-(0)125413980, email-missionhajj@gmail.com) to help identify the dead bodies.
As reported, Saudi authorities will release details of the unidentified pilgrims once their records of fin-gerprints are retrieved from the database.
It has also been reported that 61 Bangladesh pilgrims are currently under treatment at different hospi-tals in Makkah and Jeddah.
Officials at the Bangladesh Consulate General, Jeddah and Bangladesh Hajj Mission, Makkah are in touch with the hospital authorities concerned to ensure proper treatment for them.
