Power allocation drops
The government has allocated Tk15,036 crore for the power and energy sector for the 2016-17 fiscal, which is smaller than outgoing fiscal’s Tk18,541 crore.

inance Minister AMA Muhith placed a Tk340,000 crore budget for FY17 in parliament on Thursday.
Special allocations have been made for a proposed gas pipeline in Bhola and a proposed petrochemicals factory in the coastal region.
