Bangladesh Govt bans over 2 persons on bike
The government today slapped a ban on three persons riding a motorcycle after camera footage showed three motorbike-riding suspects murdering the wife of a police official in Chittagong.
This time, a motorcyclist will not be allowed to carry even his spouse and child.
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan conveyed the government’s decision at his office in a press briefing on yesterday’s gruesome drive-by murder of the police official’s wife.
“Under no circumstances can there be three persons on a bike,” he said.
Roads and highways division is expected to float an official notice soon in this regard.
