One fifty nine people, who were rescued by the Myanmar Navy from human traffickers, were repatriated to Bangladesh today. The Bangladeshis were handed over to the Border Guard Bangladesh following a flag meet between the two forces.
A delegation from Bangladesh had gone to Myanmar to discuss this issue earlier. The first group of 150 Bangladeshis had been repatriated on the 8th of June, the next batch of 37 were repatriated on 19th June, followed by 55 more people on 22nd July. All of them had been res-cued from the Bay.
