Indian Islamic preacher, Dr Zakir Naik, who is wanted by authorities in Delhi for alleged terrorist offences, has been granted citizenship by Saudi Arabia.
Last month, Indian courts issued a second arrest warrant for Dr Naik in connection with his alleged role in a terror-related case and over money laundering allegations.
Naik, who was on tour at the time, decided not to return to India and remained in Malaysia where permanent residency status was granted to him five years ago by the Malaysian government.
India had made several terrorism related charges against the prominent Islamic Scholar Zakir Naik because of his Islamic preachings in India that it considers against the national security interests as the minds of Indian muslin youth might be plagued with his teachings towards militancy.
Zakir Naik organisation offices in India have been sealed by the Law Enforcement Agencies and will be arrested upon arrival in India. India is also planning to get Zakir Naik arrested through the Interpol.
